TV commercial where toy designers get one over on the censors

Courtesy of YouTube (and discovered on Fark), here is a link to a TV commercial for a game from the 70’s. (SFW despite apparent double entrendre.)

Although I was a kid when this game came out, I don’t remember seeing it. In fact, when I first saw the ad, I thought it was a parody. I have to think that the designers of this game knew what they were doing when they named it and were probably laughing themselves sick when it made onto to store shelves and TV commercials. They couldn’t have been that naive during the 70s.

Little explanation for those of us who can’t view the video right now?

It’s called “Ball Buster.” Fun for the whole family. The goal is to bust your opponents balls. A great new game from Mego!

Some quotes from the ad:

“Ball Buster! It’s a family game!!!”

“Make strategic offensive and defensive moves; then, bust your opponents balls!”
:dubious:

And no, I’m not affiliated in any way with that.

It’s not the same without someone shouting, “You busted my Balls!” like the Battleship commercials.

And I can’t help but notice that the wife won. They usually do.

Ha!
I liked the end of the game…

Husband (to Wife): You’re a ball buster!

…after which, she turns to the camera and winks.

Yeah, somebody realized what it was called.

Don’t forget Buttplug Batman and the Yak Jizz Firing Oozinator from Super Soaker.
