I’ve always wondered why the depth of the makeshift grave is detail-worthy. Somehow, a “shallow grave” gets the headlines every time.

Maybe they mean shallow grave as opposed to leaving the person not buried at all.

She’s a woman in her fifties and this shot makes her look forty.

It’s kind of odd, but I keep hearing the victim described as “50 years old” and her husband tearfully pleading for the return of his wife of “more than 36 years”…

Was she married at 13 or 14? Fibbing about her age? Bad fact-checking by the media?

Every article I’ve seen says she is 49 years old, not ‘a woman in her fifties’ or ‘50 years old’ and they have been married for 35 years.

I’ve read it’s very uncommon for criminals to bury victims very deep. It’s really time consuming and hard work digging deep. Even impossible if they hit a bed of rock. Unless the criminal has access to a backhoe. Then it takes maybe 10 minutes.

This guy isn’t terribly bright. I can see him going down six feet, and realizing at the bottom that he can’t get out.
