tv shows for gay men

Eh, it’s kind of meh, I think. Of course, I haven’t got teh ghey, for what it’s worth - maybe it’s like 3D glasses, you have to have the right equipment to get it?

I have watched the show for the adult moments; horrible, I know. It isn’t a prequisite for homosexuality, however, rest assured.

Returning to the original poster; in my humble opinion there is no requirement for homosexuals on the matter of interests. We’re not supposed to like certain things as defined by so and so. I am not accusing you of not knowing this, of course. One might call me redundant.

I’m not a gay male (I had you all fooled, I know!), but IMO, Six Feet Under showed a realistic gay relationship (ok, but at least it wasn’t Will & Grace–which I also enjoyed). There’s probably some interesting repression going on in Bonanza or the other older Westerns.

Are gay males only supposed to like certain shows?
I never get these memos!
This thread begs the question: what shows do heterosexual “soccer mom” types like?

Well, somebody watches The Hills, I guess, right?

I agree with you on the matter of Six Feet Under! In regards to gay males liking certain shows…

No, not at all. Humans are humans no matter how many times you dice them(into different categories that is). I firmly believe in the right to like whatever the helium you want and to smack anyone who tells you differently. A bit extreme, yes.

Oh Zsofia…poor, deluded Zsofia

Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List? New season starts in 4 minutes.

For some reason, I find Weeds incredibly gay. I think it’s the fact that gayness, or bisexuality, gets skimmed over as if it’s nothing special (which of course it isn’t). Case in point: Andy (Nancy’s brother in law) meets a new girl, who at one time puts on a strap-on which she wants to use on him. He panicks for a brief moment, and then resigns to it pretty easily. It is never brought up as an issue afterwards.

I must also admit that I started watching Six Feet Under solely for the gay content. Afterwards it had merits of its own, but that was the kicker for me. Same thing for Torchwood, although that one didn’t hold up so well.

Obviously this guy has fantasies of himself with four women at once, and he likes them on the mature side.

Well, my gay neighbors’ TiVo is filled with I think the entire lineup of HGTV. Plus some Oprah and Project Runway.

FWIW.

The Golden Girls was a great show - witty and groundbreaking for its era. There’s no reason why a hetero guy could not enjoy it.
I think that a guy who would list it as his favorite show is probably trying to present an image of himself as gay, though. The only guy I know who would call it his favorite show is gay.

Oh sure, a hetero guy can like *Golden Girls, *but when you add *Designing Women, *it removes all doubt.

Cops, Mad Tv, Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central, George Lopez, Batman and Robin, Golden Girls, Nanny911, Designing Women, Murphy Brown

this is the list of his fave tv shows

Why don’t you just ask him if he’s gay?

I am, and I watch *Jeopardy!, House, Lost, Monk, The Daily Show *and a whole lot of CNN. So what does that prove?

If he doesn’t like Dr Who he doesn’t qualify.

The Batman and Robin pick gives him a homoerotic subtext, though.

I said I’ve seen him around town, I’ve not spoken to him even.

My life experiences have been that when you say to yourself, "Hmmm…I wonder if he’s gay or straight?’, then he’s most likely gay. Sorry.

Embrace his gayness. Take him out shopping, go for a facial, gossip about your friends. You’re probably be better off just having him as a fiend instead of a boyfriend. Otherwise you might be forced to watch Designing Women as well.

My ex used to ask me to watch Young & The Restless with him, also Saved By The Bell. That was difficult.
I will have to find out eventually, will let you know.

Did he watch Saved by the Bell for Tiffany Amber Thiessen, or Mark-Paul Gosselaar/Mario Lopez? Because if the latter, I think I see a pattern emerging here.
