What television shows are/were gsy men supposed to like? Wondering…
Well there’s Queer as Folk…
Ugly Betty and the whole slate of shows on Bravo.
Antiques Roadshow
Wrestling?
I read Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) is greatly admired by gay men. As well as straight women and straight men, don’t know about gay women…
For us, Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies, Antiques Roadshow…
I don’t know if the fact that UB and PD both had/have gay showrunners is coincidental or not…they both just seem to hit JUST the right sensibilities to resonate with both supervenusfreak and me.
Well, from title and subject material, I have to admit that HBO’s new series, “Hung” looks interesting.
About a guy whose life seems to be falling apart and decides to use his, uh, huge asset to make a living. Granted, the trailer leaves no doubt he is heterosexual, but think I will be interested in bits and pieces of the show.
I ask because i have seen this man around town, found out who he is, added him on facebook. Some of his favorite shows include designing women and golden girls.
Isn’t Fraiser about gay men pretending to themselves and the world to be straight?
Yup, he’s on our team. And totally stuck in the bodacious 80s.
No straight man can like those shows?
No. We can watch them, and we can tolerate them. But they’d never* be on any straight guy’s favorite list. Sorry.
- “never” = very ^10 unlikely
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy
Every gay man in the world seems to be watching True Blood, for what it’s worth.
Sex in the City. At least my gay friend loves it. Sadly, I don’t think he watches much TV, so he’s not hip to anything current.
The Tony Awards. The show last night was gayer than Ross the Intern…
So…you’re going on a random message board to determine whether he fits a stereotype?
I’m guessing you’re interested in this bloke. Just ask him.
My straight man loves the Golden Girls, by the way. I’m not sure how he feels about Designing Women.
Not this one. Should I be?
Not this one either. And it doesn’t seem like something I’d ever watch.
