TV shows (legally) available for downloading

Actually, is it downloading or streaming? Anyhoo, I tumbled upon the Ricky Gervais show Extras website and the first 2 episodes of the 2nd season are free to view. I recall ABC had Desperate Housewives and Lost eps available for a period of time. Any others available?

Studio 60 is available from the NBC site, along with a bunch of other NBC shows–all the new ones, I think. The ones I downloaded were about 7-minute segments but it looked like they were all there.

However, I can’t watch them. My computer plays the video for a few seconds, then stops, then plays for a few seconds, then stops. Drives me crazy. Does it to music, too. Didn’t use to.

Downloading is when you save something to a file on your computer. Streaming goes through the motions of downloading, but you view the video while it’s downloading, and no permanent file is saved to your hard drive.

ABC has the last 1 or 2 episodes of many of its shows online. The quality is pretty good and the video is in widescreen aspect ratio too.

Fox has some. Vanished is available.

CBS has a new feature called Innertube that lets you watch several shows. An episode becomes available the day after it is aired first-run.
