Let us not forget the legendary “Angels in Chains” episode of Charlie’s Angels: After a small-town sheriff busts the Angels (including Farrah) on a bogus possession charge, they’re herded into a women’s prison where they are forced to shower and then get deloused (!!!)
In 1976, it was a hugely provocative & controversial scene and generated huge protests. So, true to the times, the network re-ran that episode almost every other week.
