Agreed, he was terrible in a not great season. But I did like the idea of Buffy trying to have a normal BF and getting the opposite, but not opposite in the ways that would actually have appealed to her. It made sense for Buffy’s character development to have a BF like him.
Priya never bothered me much. The one who had zero chemistry was the woman in the last season that Raj was going to marry. Anu? I can’t even remember her name. She was awful - not sure if it was the character or just a bad actress.
I didn’t mind the character of Priya but I agree, the complete lack of chemistry made the whole storyline cringeworthy. Now that I think about it, I didn’t really like any of the women any of them dated(I do like Penny, Bernadette and Amy). Especially Raj’s girls.
By looking at and listening to her?(Kate, that is). Sorry, that was snarky. I know she’s very popular and I can see her appeal to those that like that quirky type, I guess.
Beth from Yellowstone. Kelly Reilly is a good actor so its not her. They took what could be a very interesting character (and sometimes still is) and turned her into a cartoon character.
Snark is always appreciated. I have to confess that Kate bothered me at first. She’s got a look that kinda pigeonholes her as “awkward and quirky,” but she grew on me, much like Kristen Schall did.
Toby Ziegler on The West Wing. For almost the entire original run of the show, I would fast forward through all of his scenes because I found him so creepy and unpleasant. When I later watched the show on DVD, there were scenes I couldn’t remember, and then I realized that I’d missed them because they involved Toby. At least I enjoyed the fitting way his story ended.
I don’t mind the actor, but the character Q on TNG drove me crazy.
And I didn’t mind the character, but the actor was terrible: Kate Mulgrew as Captain Janeway. The range of her facial expressions went from “somewhat concerned and slightly shocked” to “deeply concerned and very shocked.”
(And I agree with @SciFiSam’s comment upthread that Neelix - the character - was pretty hard to take. But he was an inventive cook who took joy in feeding people, so he had that going for him.)
