TV villains you liked

How about “Cad” from the Underdog Show. He was always under the thumb of Simon Bar Sinister, but seemed to have a good heart. He was completely loyal to Simon, even when Simon would botch up the latest scheme to take over the world. Often he even tried, very politely, to point Simon in the right direction. He was never appreciated.

The result: He’d get his nose fractured and a building or two dumped on his head. Cad was obviously a victim. He was the classic Decent Joe who fell in with the wrong crowd.I rooted for him then, and I root for him now.

Narile – that’s utterly brilliant. Spike !!! And Shultz !! I think it’s starting to come back to me. He was the guard they could blackmail really easily, portly guy, always looked worried and confused.
Bester doesn’t ring a bell at all ?

Would that have been John Colicos? Not only was he Baltar on Battlestar Galactica, he also played a Klingon general on Star Trek TOS.

I always liked Migileto Loveless on the Wild Wild West myself…

Well, I had to deal with numerous headhunters, and other visitors to the island. Like Dr. Boris Balenkoff, who switched our brains around (I got switched with Mr. Howell). I don’t know which of our “doubles” was my favorite - mine was a Russian spy, but Mr. Howell and Ginger had to deal with them, too. Then that one guy wanted to hunt me down like a wild animal. I think my favorite has to be King Killiwanni, who wanted to throw me in the volcano. I managed to get out of that one by dressing in drag - always a useful strategy for fighting TV villains.

Mr. Morden of Babylon 5

Vegeta of Dragonball Z

Hades (how could you NOT like a villain played by James Woods?) of Hercules (the animated Disney series)

Well, I’m just gonna ignore that 2nd Law guy so I can cozy up to TVeblen again.

Veb: Yeah! Michael Dunn as Dr. Miguelito Loveless in The Wild Wild West. EXCELLENT villain.

Also have to second Eve’s choice of Dr. Zachary Smith from Lost in Space, and whoever cited the various Number Twos from The Prisoner. Especially the two times Number Two was played by Leo McCarey. And Angelo Muscat as The Butler!

God, I loved The Prisoner…where’s my videocassettes…

Tengu - Adam really hasn’t done it for me. But the Mayor (and you’re right, it needs to be capitalized) was wonderful. And Faith, now doing a great job on Angel. And Angelus, when Angel turned bad. I love Spike and Dru, and Spike this year with the chip - he wanted so badly to be bad! I’m disappointed with this year’s Buffy, and just found out today from the stunt coordinator, Jeff Pruitt, that he’s been fired from the show, after three seasons. Sophia Crawford, his fiancee, will still be SMG’s stunt double, though.

I kinda like him, just for the makeup job. He’s just plain neat looking. He’s not nearly the best of them, but I think I have to rank him higher than the Master, though.

I’ve not been that religious about Angel (Jeez…I just noticed that pun…) since they killed off Doyle (WHY??? WHYWHYWHY???) - but, yeah, Faith is a rather good addition, from what I’ve seen - as is Wesley.

Heheheh…yeah, poor guy. The best scene of the season was when he tried to feed from Willow, and couldn’t.

‘I’m sure it happens to every Vampire occasionally…’

‘Not to me it doesn’t…’

Gads, I love Will…

After a night to sleep on it . . . How can we forget Snidely Whiplash from “Dudley Doright?”

And my fave “Batman” villainess (not that this will be a huge surprise) was the great Tallu, as The Black Widow.

[li]Kang, Kor, and Koloth - the Klingon captains from Star Trek, as portrayed in TOS (the original show).[/li][li]Zoey (Carolyn Seymour) from Quantum Leap[/li][li]Q (John De Lancie) from various Star Trek shows- in the end he wasn’t really a villian, just mischievious, but damn JDL played him well.[/li][li]Garak (Andrew Robinson), Star Trek: DS9 - not fully a villian, but not to be trusted[/li][li]Col. Flagg (Edward Winter), from MAS*H[/li][li]The Master (various), from Dr. Who[/li][li]Davros & the Daleks, from Dr. Who[/li][li]The Borg, from Star Trek[/li][/ul]

Hank on Dr. Quinn. I just love that pimp!

Definitely the Master from Dr. Who, and definitely the first one (can’t remember the actor’s name offhand, but a really spooky, evil-looking guy).

Every time he showed up you got the sensation that him and the Doctor had been adversaries for so long that their battles had become formalized in a way that wasn’t quite pulp - they were chaos and order, respectively.

The Master rarely thought small, always trying to awaken some great evil (always under England somewhere as if England was the center of the universe/sleeping all-powerful demons) and rule or destroy anything close by. Great stuff.

I can’t believe nobody has mentioned Mr. Burns from “the Simpsons” yet.

Incidentally, the Master on “Dr. Who” was played mainly by two actors – Roger Delgado (who bedeviled the 3rd Doc) and Anthony Ainley (against docs 5-7). Personally I refuse to count the Eric Roberts Master from the Fox movie.

Catwoman , as played by Eartha Kitt.
MrrROOOwWWerRRR!!! :o

Someone I forgot to mention earlier – Barnabus Collins, the vampire from “Dark Shadows” (and I mean the original 1960’s show, not the competent, bland rehash from ten years ago). Even though he turned into an antihero and then a good guy, he was still best in his earliest appearances as the villain. Also worth mentioning is Angelique, the witch who was constantly tormenting ol’ Barnie after he became a good guy. They were always entertaining and could give anyone on “Dr. Who” a run for the money in the Best Overacting department!

Michael Mancini and Sidney from Melrose Place.

God I miss that show. :frowning:

Hello, NEW-man!

Baron von Barracuda from the Diver Dan puppet series on Sheriff John’s Lunch Brigade, and his cigarette smoking toady fish (hello, southern Californians age 35 and over? do any of you still exist?)

London, Bester was the evil psicop from Babylon-5. As I said, evil and sly, and utterly cool.

Morden was also one evil SOB from B5.

The Animated Joker from Batman the Animated Series kicks ass as well. (Most of the villans from the Animated series seriously prod buttock.)
