TV's Dumbest Characters

I don’t know whether anyone tops Reese. We just saw the trip to China episode and damn, that boy is stupid. Archie Bunker is another classic one, though a bit ahead of Reese, I think. For some reason, it seems to be mostly males, although a few females stand out at least historically. Chrissy from Three’s Company was a couple boats short of a fleet. Who are the ones you find most memorable?

Gomer Pyle. :smack:

Michael Kelso from “That 70’s Show.”

Lowell on Wings.

Kelly Bundy and, on many baffling occasions, Jefferson D’Arcy.

Most of the cast of BONES.

What show is Reese from?

Homer Simpson, and his long lost, dumber brother, Peter Griffin.

Malcom in the Middle. They don’t have last names. (Seriously.)

Jethro

Gilligan

Joey Tribbiani

Did he once lock himself in his own car? Did he once forget how to sit down? If so, then Peter Griffin wins.

Larry’s brother Darryl – no, the other one.

In the category of zany dumb – that is, perfectly logical but totally wackyk, and wonderfully funny, Gracie Allen is clearly tops.

“I don’t want to waste electricity, so I only plug in the clock when I want to know what time it is.”

“Small cars use more gas. With a small car, you have to travel much further to go the same distance.”

Appliance Salesman: You’ll like this range, Mrs Burns. For instance, you put ina roase, you set the oven control, then you go out all day. When you come home at night, the roast is done.
Gracie: Haven’t you got one where I don’t have to go out?

Oswald Harvey or Harry Solomon.

Two of the only “stupid” characters I can stand.

-Joe

Wtf are you on? :dubious: I haven’t seen the show for a few seasons, but i recall they are called the Wiskersons.

Nah. Gilligan was more inept than dumb.

Excellent one. (Except he’s not dumb – he’s an alien. Big difference. )

GOB from Arrested Development.

I second the nomination of everyone from Bones. Good lord.

Randy Hickey on “My Name is Earl” is probably the dimmest of all the mostly dim characters on that show (his mother says he’s “special”).

Heh, anyone capable of “locking his keys outside his car” is definitely none too swift…
