I assume in question three you mean “what happened at Alice’s previous house party”? An explanation of why Edward and Bella rolled their eyes when Alice said she was throwing a graduation party.
It was a birthday party for Bella, just her and the vampires. She got a paper cut causing her to bleed. Her blood is so yummy smelling that a couple of the other vampires had trouble resisting the urge to eat her and she ended up further hurt before they could be stopped.
Edward then decided life with her was too dangerous for her (never touched upon in book or movie, that I recall, is what happens each month when she menstruates) and so for her own good he had to leave.
The results of that decision are pretty much the entirety of the second movie.
All you need to know is adequately summed up in by a hilarious posting on LiveJournal. I have learned more about that crappy series than I ever really wanted, but it was funny.
There’s another blog place like this that covered the whole book series, but I can’t find it. She also wrote a text message conversation between the Cullens, describing what life was like during it. And, yes, it was all parody, but affectionate parody. The author enjoyed the books as a guilty pleasure.
And the text/background was purple or pink or something
This strikes me as a pretty glaring omission. It might actually make sense that the vampires wouldn’t be interested in menstrual blood, because there’s some evidence that sharks don’t care about it either (see this travel blog), but surely Bella would have checked with Edward about this at some point.
