Twins and Expos: MLB All-Star Game

I heard that some non-Twins/non-Expos fans had been stuffing the ballot boxes for Twins and Expos players as a sort of protest vote. Apparently, there must be some truth to the rumors, as Twins and Expos players are among the top five at virtually every position in the latest results.

Has anyone here (who is not a fan of either team) been voting the straight ticket for Twins and/or Expos?

Right here.

I know the odds are it won’t make a difference, but it is fun to think of that what if’s if this actually worked out. I can’t stand the reign of Selig so anything I can do to make it more uncomfortable or to reinforce his image as a buffoon is fine by me.

The bonus is, the Expos and Twins each have a couple of worthy players so I am not completely throwing my vote away.

I believe Paul White of Baseball Weekly started this trend in a recent column, in which he implored all baseball fans to vote Twins and Expos. So if you’re seeing a lot of ‘ballot-stuffing’, it might be as a result of his campaign. Of course, the fact that the Expos and Twins actually have players who are having good seasons also lends credence to their being in the top 5.

Since the Twins have been officially granted a stay of execution, should be now stuff the ballot box with Devil Rays?

I disavow any knowledge of the database where internet balloting is recorded.

I deny ever having access to that database.

Go Twins!

Devil Rays parents probably wouldn’t even vote for that group of yokels, hitless wonders, and underachievers at this point.

If the Devil Rays went away, would we even notice?

I stuffed until they cut me off for voting too many times. I’ve completely given up on baseball, but it would be great to see Selig embarrassed in his hometown like that!

I think the all-star game will be New York vs. New York when all is said and done though. Yawn
