Twix

Does anyone remember Cookies and Cream Twix. A lot of people I know don’t know what I am talking about. They had those, the regular, and the peanut butter. Ok the have the peanut butter again which are OK, but I want to see how many people remember and wouldd maybe help me write like a petition for them to bring cookies and cream back.

Remember them, but not a fan.

Petitions won’t accomplish much - find another cause…like bringing back New Coke.

Well that’s Ok. I am just curious how many people remember them. What is “New Coke”?

In the mid eighties, Coka Cola changed their formula, hoping to gain more business. It was a dismal failure. The new stuff tasted similar to, but different from the original. After a while, they released the oringinal as “Classic Coke”, and then eventually dropped the new recipe.

I say it was a failure, but IIRC, they got so much publicity about it that their market share actually went up. There was a famous quote from a Coke exec. When asked if the whole thing had been a marketing ploy, he responded by saying, “We are not that smart, and we are not that stupid.”

{George Costanza}TWWWIIIIIIXXXXX!!!{George Costanza}
Once upon a time, Coke was made with real sugar, and could be purchased in little 8 oz. bottles. Then, the new President of Coke, Robert Goizueta (who had only been in the States a mere 20 years)decided that he knew best what American people wanted, and changed the formula, despite the fact that the formula had not changed for almost 100 years and everyone loved it. There was a great hue and cry across the nation, as people clammered for their old drink. Thus, Coke, in it’s infinite wisdom, introduced “Coke Classic”, which was just new Coke in old packaging. Then I started drinking Pepsi, and haven’t looked back.

Bitter? Yeah I’m bitter, what of it!

I thought we were talking about TWIX! I do remember the Cookies and cream ones and I wish they would bring them back. They were damn good. I like the peanut butter ones better, though, so I was damn glad to see them bring them back.

Yeah, I remember those Twix. Didn’t like 'em. Don’t like anything that’s cookies and cream flavor. I do like the peanut butter ones, though. Yum.

Didn’t they also have a chocolate fudge twix? THOSE were really good!

I remember Cookies and Cream Twix. They were my favorite, I used to have a hell of a time finding them though, and I can’t find them at all now. That’s becuase they don’t make them anymore of course, but if they did make them I would by a case of them. yyyuuuummmmm.

Oh yeah, Cookies and Cream - I loved 'em and I really wish that they would bring them back.

Does anyone remember Mint Hershey bars?

/hijack over/

Yep. Cookies n’ Creme Twix were excellent.

Mmmmm… Mint Hershey bars… aren’t those still around?

As for Cookie and Cream Twix, I vaguely remember them, but I don’t recall if I liked them or not, so I can’t have been too impressed.

Sounds like Twix might be a little different over here in the UK (it’s essentially two caramel-topped biscuit fingers coated in chocolate).

They did a ‘double choc’ version a while back, that was nice, plus an orange verion and a mint version (which weren’t so good IMHO.

They also do packets of single-finger portions, but to my mind, these should be called ‘ix’ ('cause there’s only the one); maybe they should launch three and four finger versions (called ‘thrix’ and ‘quadrix’?)

I remember mint hersheys those were good, and if they do still make them I don’t know where to get them. Twix original <with the carmel> are OK but sometimes you want something different. Now I remember the fudge one now that was good. I never much cared for cookies and cream stuff but i liked the Twix.

I have to confess that I actually despise the cookie and cream Twix.

Any Cookie-God fearing man (or woman) that needs a cookie and cream fix oughta drag their ass to the cookie aisle and grab a bag of Oreos™. End of story.

As for “regular” Twix™, I can’t seem to eat them without scraping off the caramel and chocolate (two words with wasted syllables) with my teeth before eating the semi-nude cookie.

Great moments in Twix hixtorie: George Castanza goes in pursuit of a Twix bar in a car dealership. He scrapes up the change, but the Twix gets stuck, until someone else scoops it up. George really wanted the candy bar with the cookie crunch.

Now, market Twix cookies, sans the toppings, and we have a nice li’l snack.
