I’ll tell you this much: even if I hadn’t voted, the vote would acquired over double (close to triple) the minimum required for suspension/banning and there were no dissenting votes, nor did I dissent due to the fact that I think he is more a jerk than a troll.

It went to an early exchange between Colibri and I in this thread, in which he portrays 2.5 trollery as a settled issue in order to level an insult at me. It’s taken on way too much importance now. The circling of the mod wagons combined with weaseling has had its desired effect.
This is a perfect example of the problem with this board’s moderation. Oh well…

Well, to you, evidently. I don’t think “troll” or “jerk” are so rigidly defined that 2.5’s posting history could be fed into a Bayesian analyzer and make a flag pop up. Enough moderators believed he met the standard for one or both, and they suspended him.
You think they desired to annoy you personally? I can’t offhand see any other effect.

And now YOU miss the point. The question of trollery doesn’t go to his suspension, but to an exchange between Colibri and I. But if you find it too much trouble to go back and educate yourself about what you’re opining on, so be it.

We agreed that all the other mods would say he was a troll and then I would say he was a jerk and then magellen01 - in his brilliance - would pick up on it and then we could piss him off by circling the wagons and then we could explain it to him and then he could get even more pissed off.

Pull your fingers out of your ears and listen carefully: nobody has told you anything incorrect. The Mods dealt with one question, which was “Should this poster be suspended for his behavior?” Everyone was asked that question, and everyone who answered it said yes. He was warned in the past for being a troll, but if Frank feels the guy was a jerk and not a troll, it has zero bearing on the issue. Ta da, dispute resolved.
Oh wait, what’s this? Somebody thinks he’s Perry Mason, so we need to have a three-page argument about whether or not Two and a Half Inches of Fun received due process, because it’s so powerfully confusing if some Mods thought his behavior violated the rules of the board (over and over again) by being a jerk, and others thought he was violating the rule of the board over and over again by intentionally being a jerk and saying things he didn’t believe.

It’s Colibri and me, not I. Sorry for the off-topic.
I could cut/paste all of the early exchanges between Colibri and you, but that would just be tedious.
I’ll be the mole and tell you what went down in the emails between mods/Admins. (I archive them all).
There are 19 mods/Admins. Not all of them are around 24/7. Some even take a vacation(lucky buggers).
Sometimes, when we talk about the actions of a controversial poster/member, some people participate, some don’t.
In the case of 2.5, eight of us participated in the emails. Of the eight, seven agreed he was trolling the Board. Frank(sorry buddy) used the word troll. He allowed as how 2.5 was trolling sometimes. I was the only one who didn’t use the word “troll.” And that’s only because I saw what was happening, had some real-life things going on, and allowed it to happen. I personally think he was sometimes trolling the Board. You may not.
There was NEVER a hint of anything about politics, right vs. left, etc. There never is.
So, when Colibri first said in the thread
, he was saying that there was a …watch for it…nearly unanimous decision, on the part of the PTB, to ban his ass for being a troll. You, on the other hand, if I re-read the early posts correctly, were saying that there wasn’t a unanimous vote on the part of posters that he was a troll. But, since the posters on this board don’t get a vote in the mod-loop, that’s a non starter.
