Funny, when I went downstairs this morning there were 2 bottles of wine waiting to be shipped out.

Perhaps “obligatory” was a bit strong, but a bottle or two of wine is certainly the most common thank you gift to any speaker in Australian financial circles. I’d average half a dozen bottles a year.
Right, then. Time to move to Australia.
