two down, three to go

In the last week, two of my cats died. My baby, a gorgeous long-haired sweetheart, snuck out of the house on Halloween and was hit by a car. And just yesterday, our old man finally succumbed to his heart condition (or else the metastatic cancer.) Dusty, the old man, lived a pretty long, clearly happy life, and it was obvious he wasn’t going to make it that much longer - frankly, it’s would be sort of a relief had it not followed a week after Queen Mab. But Queen Mab, my little girl, is still young and healthy. But she likes to go hunting, and unfortunately, even on our little dirt road cars still drive really fast. I dunno what was going through the mind of the asshole who hit her and didn’t even stop to apologize.

I am sorry to hear this news. The loss of a loved pet is a deep sadness.

Sending warm thoughts your way.

I’m sorry for your loss. Pets can really get to be a part of your life and heart.

I don’t know why some people can be so insensitive like the driver of the car.

Oh, I’m so sorry. I have an elderly cat that I expect to lose daily, but losing my young 'uns would just be devastating. (Not that losing the old guy wouldn’t be, but you know what I mean…)

So sorry. :frowning:

Condolences from my long-hair Queen Maeve also.

That is really a shame. I am sorry that you’ve had to deal with two tragedies so close together. Pets are definitely part of the family and it is horrible when something like this happens.

I’m so sorry for your loss! :frowning:
