Two Or More Successful Films With The Same Title

The basic premise of the film is the same, though. Two secret agents married to each other.

No, the two leads in the Hitchcock film aren’t secret agents at all.

What AG said. Two entirely unrelated movies.

The Great Train Robbery – one of the first films with a story, and a massive success.
The Great Train Robbery – Victorian caper film with Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland. It was called The First Great Train Robbery in some releases, but the first US release did not include “first” in the title.

It was just on TCM a few days ago, and it was pretty good. Much funnier than the later one.

This might be slightly outside the OP’s conditions, but ten years before the blockbuster Speed with Keanu and Sandra, there was a popular IMAX film by the same name.

Before Pixar’s hit, there was an Oscar-winning aerial photography film that also was called Up.

Gladiator (1992) only grossed about $9 million domestically according to Box Office Mojo, but it seems to have been a low budget film (no big stars, exotic locations, or expensive effects) so I’m not sure how to judge its success financially. I’m not a fan of boxing movies in general, but for some reason I knew about it enough that when Gladiator (2000) came out I thought, didn’t they use that title a few years ago?
