So I was arguing with an aquaintence of mine about Zygotes. We were talking about science and God and all that good stuff. According to him, everything can be explained by science. I couldn’t think of any arguements, so I just said anything. I told him that Zygotes are a miracle, science can’t explain it and it’s so amazing that there is no doubting it. I wasn’t being serious but it was working, he couldn’t tell me how a single cell could create something as incredible as a human being. But now I’m curious, how do Zygotes do what they do?
Onto the second question. This should be easy but I’m not good at Googling.

As incredible as we might seem, everything about the human body can be contained in 46 chromosomes, each of which contains many instructions on what proteins to make. Add up a lot of proteins, and you get a human.
When a lot of people say something is a miracle, they mean that it can’t be explained and is obvious proof of the existence of (the Christian) God. If you go around claiming that sort of thing about something that is understood on some level, the people who understand it are going to roll their eyes at you a little bit.
If you mean something else when you call it a miracle, then maybe not. But you’ll find yourself constantly having to explain exactly what a miracle is to you. And some people will scoff at your use of religious terminology no matter what you mean by it, although they are in the minority.
If you put it in those terms, then pretty much everything about life, the universe, and, well, everything, is a miracle. If everything is a miracle, then nothing in.
