President Aquino, a member of the powerful Aquino clan of course, is blaming any- and everything that’s gone wrong on the local government, which is controlled by their old rivals, the Marcos clan. (Remember Ferdinand Marcos? And apparently Imelda, while born in Manila, was raised in Tacloban.) And the Marcoses, naturally, are blaming the national government.

The Japanese troops who are assisting are not proving popular among certain people who remember them from 70 years ago. Story here.
