Tomorrow I will be driving a U-haul truck…24’ Across texas… We came through there last week and saw that all the weigh stations were open. Will I need to stop at the weigh stations??

I drove a 24’ up from Florida when I moved to NY 4 months ago. I’d been told that I didn’t have to stop, and didn’t have any problems when I didn’t.

Nonononono! Sorry! That’s not what I meant! lurkernomore, often known as lurker, is my boyfriend. When I drove up from FL, he met me in Baltimore to get me through NYC, but he wouldn’t drive it because he said that “I was more used to the truck” The reference was a jab at him not at you. My most sincere appologies for not bolding when I usually do with names. Now I feel like a total schmuch. 
And one who can’t type right even when she previews. Make that a schmuck, and add on any other derogatory nouns you see fit. :(

I was the target of the jab. I figured after 900 miles, she was used to the truck. I never drove anything bigger than a large car or medium SUV before.
No prob true!!..As a pisces too I seem to get upset at the most unusual things…I just thought I asked a feasable question… In light of all the recent events I just thought I might need to let the authorities know that all I had in the truck was household goods…NOT some kind of mass demolition equiptment…

Very feasible question. I hadn’t even thought about it in that light. The best suggestion I’d have then is to call the local u-Haul place and ask them. They’d know what changes, if any, there would be in any driving policies. I know here in NY, they’re still checking every truck that comes into the city, but I don’t know about elsewhere.

I don’t know about you guys, but I always hear “u-haul” in Hawaiian when I read it.
