Well, in technical terms, that’s a “radar dome”, but what the hell.
We had Death Rays in the 1920s, so why is it silly to think we’d developed warp drive 30 years later!

You guys are a bunch or party-poopers! The nose of the F-94C Starfire looks exactly like a warp drive! In fact, that’s probably where the original model-makers got the design from!
