Ah, actually, I thought about it some more. I don’t agree, but I at least realize what you meant. I’d say Bin Laden’s problem wasn’t that the troops were threatening Saddam, it was that they were ‘defiling the holy land’ and that jive. They’ll still be in Qatar and a threat to Muslim nations in the right (or wrong) eyes, and it’ll end up being incorporated into the routine if necessary.
