UBB vs vBulletin

Infopop is pissing me off beyond belief.

They’re screwin’ me over. My board went down (admittedly it was my fault) When I called to get the SOB’s to fix it, they refused to because their system screwed up and said I didn’t have a license. By the time they got it straightened out their tech losers had already wandered off to their Friday dungeons and dragons parties.

vBulliten seems pretty cool (I’m assuming that this sites speed problems aren’t the board’s fault). Is there anyone out there who has used both on their own sites? Impressions?

Is there some other great board out there that I’m overlooking?

http://www.wwwthreads.com/ is an interesting forum.

http://www.ikonboard.com is another good one (and free)

I’d go with vBulletin. It’s easy to setup and administer, and the vB community is very helpful if you have questions or a problem. The software itself is extremely stable. vB vs. UBB… there’s just no comparison. You can go here to read about vB versus other message boards, although it’s somewhat biased.

I might’ve asked this before, but is anyone familiar with phpBB?

<plug>I agree</plug>.

They’ve just released version 3, and it’s pretty kickass. I’m going to stick with 2 for awhile, though.
