I bought this stuff a few days ago. I love it!! It makes my skin soft and smooth, it’s not icky or greasy and it smells good. It’s actually for cows! I know there are lots of other offbeat beauty secrets out there i.e Preparation H, Horse Shampoo, etc. This is the place to share.
You mean Udder Butter…? There is also a kind called Bag Balm that is in a green tin can. They both work wonders on a babies bottom (and grown ones too, I suppose). No rashes 'round here
Stuff sounds like Corona bag balm, mostly lanolin, which has been used by people for years. Must work too because I can safely say I’ve never dated a woman who used it who had chapped udders.
I knew about the udder cream because my s.o.
uses it on his new tattoos (recommended by the tattooist)…but i haven’t tried it on my face - I’ll have to do that. Good for wrinkles: castor oil. It’s very heavy oil, so you need to use sparingly (don’t forget the neck). I haven’t used it under makeup - it may be too heavy for that; I use it at night before bed. As for horse shampoo – I’m a horse person and had heard about that years ago when my hair was overpermed - tried it, didn’t like the way it left my hair (didn’t feel clean)and didn’t help the dryness. A friend told me to try hoof maker – a cream for horses hoofs. Shampoo, rinse, put the hoof maker cream on, and leave it on for as long as you can - I put a shower cap on and left it on overnight. It isn’t greasy - rinses right out.
Neat!! I’ve got a cheap beauty secret that I read about a long time ago. When I work outside, I don’t usually use garden gloves, they are just so cumbersome, so I end up with my hands like a lumberjack. Soooo, you put mayonnaise on your hands and then put rubber gloves on overnight. Voila, in the morning, oh so soft hands and cuticles again!
As for the smell, well, you’re on your own, there!
