Ugly Betty - 10/23

Are we still on 10/23?

Wilhelmina has actually been acting “decent”, if not “nice” lately. I think that what will happen with NZ guy is that he’ll come on board to help tilt the balance to Daniel’s side, but will end up as a love interest with Wilhelmina.

Danielsan is definitely setting up as a Hildi love interest. Musician across the hall is the new Betty love interest. Now they just need to fix up Amanda.

Marc is also showing his niceness occasionally, like vetoing Amanda’s more evil stuff.

As for who owns Meade, I though Wil and Dan were 50-50 now. Which is why Daniel needs Connor as leverage.

Of course there’s no doubt Wilhelmina and Connor are going to double cross Daniel or it wouldn’t be much of an arc.

This show needs to hire some new writers and get an interesting plotline going pronto, incidentally. They’re losing me and I’m guessing a lot of their other viewers.

That was a pretty close guess, though it didn’t turn out exactly like that.

So do you think Marc and Cliff will go through with the wedding? I have to admit I never saw that one coming after Cliff spotted Marc coming out of his trick’s apartment, but it was still somehow sweet. I hope the wedding goes forward as there are lots of possible angles for great comedy-drama in that one.

And Val Emmich’skinda hot in an aging twinkie kinda way. I kept expecting the twist to be that his character is gay.

Amanda will of course end up taking Marc’s apartment I’m sure. I liked that it did show she’s not totally remorseless the other night. STILL NO INTERESTING STORY ARCS IN FORMATION THOUGH!!! Get something going writers!

I wasn’t sure about that. It looked like Cliff saw Marc, but didn’t seem him leaving trick’s apartment. He did see trick right after, but decided not to put two and two together. What I didn’t get, was why after landing someone like trick, Marc suddenly decided he really, really want to be married. Was trick that bad in bed, or Marc was just covering?

Oh, and I’d be really surprised the wedding goes off as planned.

The sad thing is, this is a tragic soap opera, so everyone’s relationships are going to get screwed.

Did you hear Justin say “OMG, so-and-so put a hamburger in her purse, I have to call Randy!”

Is Randy jock-dancer? It’d be cool those two have developed some sort of relationship, even though doomed to eventual heartbreak.

Yeah, it was. I actually looked it up on IMDB just to see. (Ivanka Trump was the woman who put a hamburger in her purse.) I’m wondering if they’ll take the risk with an underaged actor (though the actor playing Justin is no less “swishy” on talk shows than the character is, so perhaps he’s already figured it out and is comfortable with it).
