Uh. . . checkers board game?

OK, childhood memory. I had a checkers game, and on the back of the board (or maybe in an insert), there was a diagram of other checkers games that could be played. Anyone with this kind of board/game (or maybe they all have them)? The only other “alternate” game I remember was a weird arrangement in the middle of the board.

Couldn’t tell you.

“Fox and Geese” is a game playable on a standard board; there are four “geese” all with the powers of standard “men” against one “fox” with the powers of a “king”. Neither side may capture. The fox loses when hemmed in so as to be unable to move, the fox wins if he can get behind the geese (effectively, whoever can’t move loses, but once the fox gets behind the geese it can end only one way).

My parents’ board had the same thing. I don’t know if they still have that board though.

I used to play ‘Give-away’ which is basically reverse checkers - you’re trying to get rid of all your pieces. I was pretty good at it although I sucked at normal checkers.

Another person who vaguely recalls such instructions being with the checkers board–but couldn’t tell you anything about the rules therein provided. (And who doesn’t live with the people who probably still have the game box).

Nine Men’s Morris is the typical checkers flip side pairing. It’s a fairly old game that can be played with the same pieces.
