To being with, I will not apologise for loving Big Brother. I do and that’s that. So there.

So is anyone else watching? What do you think so far? How do you think it compares to previous years?

I think the contestants so far have that “Hey I’m on TV!” hyperactivity and it’s about as cringe-making as it usually is early on in the series (remember Nicola?). With an extra two contestants, it makes for a busy and bizarre house and I’m looking forward to it settling down a bit. I like Sandy (the Elvis Costello lookalike) very much and I think Jade has potential. Sunita seems a bit miserable and I think she’ll be either totally ignored in the first voting-out or voted-out by a lot of them - she’s not really joining in very much. If she’s not voted out in the first few weeks, I think she might come into her own later on.

I’m looking forward to the usual girls ganging up on other girls psychology in the voting out process. Apparently this year they’re not allowed to give the lame “Oh, I think she’s really missing her family” reasons for voting out other people, but I’m not quite sure how BB thinks it’ll enforce this policy.

I wonder what the challenges/rewards will be this year. Think they’ll just try to get them all as pissed as possible again like last year?

I think they might do an exchange with another BB program - apparently they did this with the Spanish (I think) and Australian BB - they transplanted BB housemates from one country to another. That could be fun.

Big Brother 2 just finished here. After having live sex, masturbation, and just about everything elese you can or can’t imagine on TV, I don’t think there’ll be a BB3.

I don’t think BB3 will be as good as BB2.

Not sure which contestants I like yet. I have to agree with you Francesca that Sunita is miserable and I hope that she will be voted out.
I don’t like Jade, I think she is like Helen from last year, but it would be good to keep her there for awhile to annoy the others :slight_smile:

As for the model Alex, I think he is really moany and has only his looks going for him so I don’t think he will last that long.
I think Spencer has a lot of potential, he is quiet now but as soon as it becomes a smaller group I think he will start to blossom.

I wonder who will be the first person to be evicted?

I’ve almost disapeared into BB3 on E4.

Did ya hear what they’re going to do after the challenge this wkend? Is it true that they will split the house?

Splitting the house in two with iron bars? I heard about that. I wonder if/how they’ll do it. The Philadelphia Experiment meets Big Brother?

I wish I had E4. But I’m not paying £9.99 a month to get it live on the net. I can’t believe they expect us to pay - what a ripoff! Especially if it’s anything like last year, with scratchy, poor quality pictures and sound.

It’s sure to cause friction, which is why they are going to do it. Should make for some interesting viewing.

We’re really lucky over here in Dublin. NTL just last month added E4 onto our basic cable package (€25approx per 3 months) for no extra charge. They keep cutting the sound for legal/foul mouthed reasons which is a pain but it’s good to see them actually just living in the house and not just seeing the highlights.

Shame about the web streaming though. Can’t imagine they’ll make a lot of money out of that.

Bookies in the UK do everything - they very rarely turn down any bet at all. People walk in off the street and bet on whether it’ll be a white Christmas, who will be number 1 in the charts next week, when the Pope will die, etc.

Ok here’s what I think of the house mates.

Alex:- Nice enough guy but is a bit quiet. He tries to fit in but I don’t think there’s much depth to him. I reckon he’ll be around for a while unless there’s a big showdown of some sort.

Johnny:- The “lad” of the house. Will joke and act the bollocks with the best of them. I think this may wear thin after a while and he’ll start to get on peoples tits.

Lee:- Very into himself and has a real macho thing happening. Flirts a lot and throws in comments like "ya know what I’m missing :wink: " quite a bit. Don’t really like him much.

P.J.:- A real grey man. Middle middle middle. Will have around for a while but will be voted off before the last 4 IMHO.

Sandy:- My favorite housemate. Quiet but will get involved in the fun and games. I have my breakfast every morning to him doing laps in the pool while everyone else in the house sleeps.

Spencer:- Way to quiet. When he does come out of his shell he actually goes too far and tries to dominate proceedings. He does like practical jokes, which may lead to some good arguments in the future.

Adele:- Nice girl. Like having the craic and not afraid to flirt. Probably my favorite girl.

Jade:- Don’t like her really. Bit to Helen for my tastes and even stupider which I didn’t think was possible. Most likely to get into argument. Will most likely get booted out this wkend.

Alison:- Initially I thought she was going was the most likely to meltdown due her being a jolly fat person on the surface but easily upset. Now that I’ve seen her quite a bit I think I was wrong and she should be around for a while, hopefully.

Kate:- Well apart from her thongs :wink: I don’t really like her. She seems very “Me Me Me” but she’ll be around for a while as most people seem to like/fancy her.

Sunita:- Why the hell did she enter the house. She doesn’t like it and doesn’t really like anybody in the house. She’s too uptight to get involved in any of the messing around as it might effect her standing in the barrister world :rolleyes: be gone.

Lynne:- Nice girl aswell. Has the craic with the other housemates and not afraid to flirt. I liked the way she pulled away from the argument between Sunita and Jade. Should be around for a while.

If they split the house in the way I heard they were going to. Half the house living in luxury and the other half living on a porridge and water diet it will really kick things off. All bets are off. Some strong contenders could really go apeshit and some weaker ones come to the fore. I hope they do it as the BB format is a bit jaded now as everybody in the show thinks they’ve got the game rules down.

I’m really enjoying it, even the boring bits :wink: and am looking forward to the next 10 weeks.

Jade needs to LEAVE, soon as poss really. Someone on one of the BB3 message boards pointed out that if you sprayed her green, she’d look like Shrek. I never thought I’d say this about anyone, but she’s worse than Helen last year.

Spence is a friend of friends, I met him once or twice and he’s just NOT a quiet person, and is normally a bit lairy. So we’re just waiting to see if he comes out of his shell at all. Watching him I can’t get it out of my head how smelly he’s supposed to be at the moment. How any of them can stand to sit next to him…

Alex is pretty, so can stay. I swear it must’ve been a different person in his application video, though.

Allison is fine by me as long as she never again utters the word ‘whack’.

And now Sunita wants to leave the house. Good to see she gave it a whole 6 days before deciding to go. I hope that this doesn’t mean Jade stays any longer than I’m hoping she has to (ARRRGH DIE JADE DIEEE!!)

Apart from that, I’m finding this year a little boring so far. I like Sandy but he’s never on camera. Lynne’s insistance that they keep having to play little games is getting a little wearing (e.g last night’s “Let’s act out a scene from a film!” at around 1am. I think it was Kate who said “Let’s just sit here and do f*ck all!”), but I’ll forgive Lynne a lot for the moment when she advised Jade in all sweetness that she’d be much nicer if she’d just shut up. Mind you I hated last year for the first week, thinking it not a patch on year one, but by the end got so sucked in I would’ve wept if Brian hadn’t been victorious.

Plus I can’t wait to see if they do the Heaven/Hell house thing with the bars.

A couple of disagreements: Lynn is a moody bitch - did you see her lay into Spencer for no reason whatsoever? “What music do you like?” “Morcheeba, Portishead…” “Prodigy?” “You’re arrogant!”

PJ is a chauvinist, don’t like him.

Sunita claims she’s claustrophobic - I can understand that, I suppose, though it’s a little lame.

I tuned in for part of the first episode, but after about two minutes of Jade blathering on and on my brain cells started jumping out of my ears to get away from it, and I had to change the channel.

I’ve revised my opinion of Lynn. She is a king kamaya beoch. She threw out a couple of nice one last night to Spencer and when called on them just said she was only joking or not being serious. BS IMO. She’ll be involved in some arguments very shortly. All it will take is somebody not to walk away like Spencer did.

This morning was quite interesting. Before Sandys morning jog around the pool he and Alex had a good bitching session. Alex wants a daily house meeting to discuss his problems with everyone not being as anal as him :rolleyes: but Sandy said that there are a few people in the house that he has absolutely no time for. Trouble at mill, good :smiley:

Ohh, I hope so. Sunita’s just been going on about all the love she has for them all (bblb, E4). Even Jade’s trying to be less annoying. We want some friction, dammit!

It seems that everyone is liking jade at the moment. Why? Can’t they see how annoying she is?

I would say Lynne will be gone tonight.

My prediction for the two evictees via the public: Lynne, Jade.

Housemates will vote Lynne I think. Jade, for all her supreme irritancy, doesn’t seem to have a nasty bone in her body. Lynne, however, is a bitchcow from Hell.
