So IKEA are celebrating 21 years in the UK by offering a 21% discount off everything. Doors opened at 6am this morning and close at midnight tonight.
We’ve picking up a van at 8am then heading over to our local store (fortunately we scored a van rental for the same cost as IKEA charge for home delivery). Not sure what to expect, but we’ll be bringing survival provisions!
As luck would have it, we had already planned to go this weekend as we need to get a double bed and drawers for the spare room, due to the imminent arrival of my parents for 2 months. Total cost around £350 so we’ll save £70.
Dayum. I wish I knew about this before I bought my kitchen there. On the other hand, I got £200 worth of free appliances, so it’s not a total bust. Plus no waiting in queues.
Well I’ve been, bought a pile of stuff from the Ashton under Lyne shop and am back. Completely smooth, took a few trips around the car park to find parking for our van, but apart from that no troubles whatsoever!
Now we’ve got a new bed and set of drawers to assemble!
You are fortunate indeed. I find that anytime there is a great sale and I need a specific item, that is the item that is currently sold out or out of stock, no idea when we will get more, ma’am.
