I had never heard of her - she is/was stunningly beautiful in a waify/model/actress way. Looks like she had the beginnings of a decent career - a bit part in Spider-Man 3, etc…
Was she well known in the UK? Is this sad event getting a lot of press? I stumbled across it in the Entertainment section of MSNBC…
Story only broke today, so it’s a bit early to say how much press it’ll get. That said, it looks like most of the newspaper websites (as well as the BBC’s) have articles about it.
As to her being well known; well, can only speak for myself and say that I’ve never heard of her. I’ve probably seen her photo back when she was a model, but her acting career seems to have been mainly bit parts.
I don’t recognise her. I’ve never heard of her. And I don’t remember what role she played in Spiderman 3 (but then I have sort of purged most of that film from my memory!)
She looks familiar, but that might be because she has a similar face to the typical highclass brunette look that you see in TV and movies pretty often, whom seems to never become famous like the blonds do.
Terry Farrell
Liv Tyler
Elizabeth Hurley
Olivia Wilde (though not actually a brunette)
That said, she looks specifically familiar though I definitely haven’t seen her before. She’s reminding me of someone not in my list, but whom I can’t think who is.

Been reading a lot of commentary about her acting in recent roles, ever since her stint at the end of Spiderman 3. It didn’t seem very flattering. Perhaps just another pretty face. Nevertheless, RIP.
I instantly remembered her from Spiderman 3 due to the fact that it’s stuck in my head as one of the worst line readings I’ve heard. She was a reporter commenting live on spiderman getting beaten up:
“It’s hard to believe what’s happening. The brutality of it. I-- I don’t know how he can take anymore.”
