Well that’s the impression they want to convey … it may or may not actually be true, of course.
Never mind
In the US I have heard the phrase, “CNN has learned”, usually said before the piece of informstion.
And now this:
Watch the video. You will not be disappointed.
Heh. Funny little bit of campaign sabotage.
Thanks for the “the BBC can reveal” explanation, all.
Logistically, how does that even happen? That’s like, some serious planning and insider involvement going on.
I wondered the same thing. I mean, it’s not a fancy venue and it’s not like Nigel has a massive security operation to prevent saboteurs, but someone at the venue must have been in on it and present to trigger the banner.
Forget about that poster - what about Farage’s suit? Do people actually dress that way? Because of I saw a man walking down the street wearing a sky-blue double-breasted jacket over tan slacks I would punch him in the face on general principle.
Like a lot of the comments say, he looks like Alan Partridge !
Beset on all sides - forced to disown some candidates and finding another walking off because he’s just realised what sort of a party it is
He’ll end up doing a chat show on Radio Clacton (not Strictly, please) so he might as well look the part.
I doubt any major influence but; will the results (preliminary) in France have an effect in the UK?
If sodding Nigel wishes to distance himself from all the “bad apples” he’ll have to leave the party altogether. Or perhaps they could eject him?
Hard to say which is more odious.
I’m in the U.K. now and I find it bizarre that there is more coverage of Joe Biden than the U.K. general election. I’ve tried both BBC One and Sky News.
BBC Parliament is showing the Scottish Parliament every time I tune in
Try the BBC News channel (Freeview 231) or the BBC iPlayer phone app.
So how have the Conservatives held power for 14 years at this point? Is it the lack of a charismatic Labour Leader? Or did people think they were doing a good job as the UK fell behind the US & EU?
That helped. The previous 2 were fairly uninspiring*.
Starmer has been making good headway since the last general election.
*British understatement.
Mostly the failure of Labour to present anything more than a feeble Opposition, a lukewarm platform and a series of uninspiring leaders, aided by a rather widespread anti-Labour (and particularly anti-Corbyn) bias in most of the press.
I’d be hard-pressed to find anything the Tories have done a "good job"on in the past 14 years.
