Me too. Also notice the age of the mare- she is clearly old, but very well cared for.
Horses are both magical and so very mundane- but I’ve long thought they have very good memories, and recognize people and other animals they have known.

To me, the amazing thing about this story is that the hospital went along with it. Kudos for to them for making/ allowing it to happen.

I read the title as “Woman dies after failure to horse.” And I thought, “was she bucked off? Didn’t put a saddle on right?”, and the comments were more confusing.
