Ultra rare Black Sabbath??

I have been a Black Sabbath fan since…, well forever.

Today I came across a song called “electric sleep”. Supposedly “ultra rare”. I take a listen and it freakin’ ROCKS!
I have never heard of this song before. Is this for real? Or some hoax recorded by some (albeit good) garage band?

I ask because the lyrics start off : *“cyber space got no place in the real world.” “plastic minds got no soul”

Its supposedly written in “71”

When did “cyberspace” enter mainstream lexicon?

I thought it referred to the internet exclusively.

Sorry, but it appears this is a band called “sheavy”, and the song was released in 1998.

Guy in the same position as you here, who made the connection:

Being a fan of classic Sabbath myself, I’ll have to check these guys out.

Thanks HeatMiser. I almost played it for some friends as Black Sabbath.

Although I did think there was something fishy.

It does sound like Ozzy.

YAY!
these guys are from my home town!!! in newfoundland, canada
they are pretty big in europe and very black sabbath to the core…
the lead singer is just like ozzy!
cheers!!!

Note to Tony Montana – never believe what Kazaa tells you.

Here are some genuine rare Black Sabbath tunes:

  • “Evil Woman” - outtake from 1st album; added to the remastered CD.
  • “Some Kind of Woman” - b-side from The Eternal Idol
  • “Cloak & Dagger” - b-side from Headless Cross
  • “What’s the Use” - bonus track on Cross Purposes, Jap. import
  • “Loser Gets It All” - bonus track on Forbidden, Jap. import (The Sabbath Stones compilation also contains it, but NOT the other three!)
  • “Scary Dreams” - unreleased new song from the 1999 Ozzy reunion, only available on audience bootlegs.

There’s also an outtake from Born Again, but I forget what it’s called; I don’t think there’s a copy of it in circulation, anyway.

Actually, it was on the European version of the first album from the beginning. Oddly enough, it took the place of “Wicked World,” which is a far superior song.

Thanks KGS but I dont listen to Tony Martin Black Sabbath.

Is the “Evil Woman” song Ozzy?

Yes. (It’s a cover song, like “Warning” also was.)

Am I the only one who enjoys the Tony Martin era of Sabbath?? It’s not as bad as you think!

There’s also an alternate lyrics version of War Pigs.
