ultrasound results, it's a boy!

So yeah it’s another one of those threads…but when it’s your little fetus in there it’s pretty exciting! He waved at us, yawned, and crossed his legs and did all manner of other funny things. I can’t believe there’s so much going on in there and I can’t even feel it. We didn’t REALLY care, but we both sorta wanted a boy so we’re happy. After the tech printed out the pictures, my husband took them and said, “Would you mind printing out some for my wife? These are mine.” Then he showed the server at the place where we went out to eat, while we were ordering. He pointed out each one. It’s cute how excited he is. I am too, but I like that he is. It’s our first kid. I ain’t no spring chicken (35) and we’re planning on a few more…but I guess we’ll see how we survive this one…

Congratulations!
When are you due?
I had an ultrasound a week ago, but I’m only 12 weeks yesterday, so we’re way too early to tell.

Thanks! Congrats to you too. I’m 18 weeks along, due on September 26, so we were able to see a lot. It’s amazing! I can’t wait to feel him kick or whatever it is you feel…

Congratulations, tesseract and Labelless!! You feel them kicking sometimes, I guess, but more often it’s just their little foot protruding as they turn over or whatever. (and let us not forget their using your bladder AS A PILLOW.)

If you get morning sickness, remember: ginger tea! ginger tea!

Hey, aren’t you supposed to provide a cite?

Congratulations! I’m living with my sister and BIL who are having a baby in August. My sister’s twenty-six weeks on Thursday and I got to be there for the “It’s a girl!” ultrasound. I’m with you, it’s amazing! A couple of weeks ago, we got to feel her kick from the outside for the first time. She’s just gotten stronger and stronger since then. I’m in awe of the little life rolling around inside of my sister. Congratulations on your little life!

You won’t be so happy in 15 years…(absolute gloating ;))

Congrats! It’s so amazing the first time you see them on the ultrasound and they actually look like a human being!

As for kicking, the first time my daughter made her presence felt was by jumping on my bladder in the middle of a meeting with a client. I yelped and then had to quietly excuse myself! (I think I was about 22 weeks at that point)

heh. When our friends found out they were having a boy, they told us by saying, “We just had an ultrasound, and he’s got three knees: a left knee, a right knee, and a wee-nee.”

Yeah, yeah, I know. I’m just going to enjoy this for now and send him to boarding school then. They’re free, right?

Oh, my husband told the server, “This is the gun,” when he showed her the boy picture. :o
