It’s been that way for quite a while, and there have been several other threads about it. I doubt it will get fixed.
I thought they stopped selling merchandise?
That was my guess, though it doesn’t address why the button is still there rather than removing it.
There’s just not been anyone at the READER with the time to spare on it. It’s on the list of things to get done, but not high priority.
A very nice friend had one to spare and sent it to me.
