Ok, there’s something very weird going on with my computer and I hope y’all will be able to help. I am unable to log into MSN Messenger. When I troubleshoot it tells me that all my connections are correct. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. I have run C-Cleaner, Adaware and Spybot Blaster. I can surf the net, I can log onto MSN Webmessenger, but my downloaded copy just will not let me log on.
Every time I try to log in, I get the following message:
What could be going on?
The only thing I haven’t done is run Hijack This…do I need to do it and post the log? This is a work computer.
I forgot to add that when I rebooted yesterday I got a message saying that some files had been replaced with unauthorized versions and I should reinsert the Windows 2000 disk to restore them. Apparently the IT guy came today and did exactly that, but when I rebooted again today, it came up with the same error message. I just spoke to him (the IT guy) and he said that it could be that my profile could be corrupt which could cause problems like this. Is this correct? I don’t have a lot of faith in our IT guys…lol.
