Have you tried printing hard wired (USB) from your laptop? If it prints via USB I would guess a setting is off related to the communication. Has it ever printed in this mode to say this has worked and should be working? Otherwise, I would question compatibility mainly if they are not approximately the same age.
I’ll watch to see if there is a specific location for computer related questions. I’m new also, with a Juno Email Upgrade issue).
Doesn’t your printer come with a CD for installation to the computer? If you don’t have the installation disk, that might be the problem.
If you are trying to connect wirelessly, then it is a crap shoot in my experience. I always have to connect with the USB to print from my laptop. If you have lost your install CD you can usually call the manufacturer and get another one sent to you.
I think the OP is talking about a computer that’s physically connected to a PC, and trying to access it over WiFi from a laptop. Correct?
If so, there should be no need for special drivers. You do need to go to the printer list on the host PC and enable sharing for that printer specifically. Also, can the laptop see the host PC on the network at all?
