Unanswered Questions about Movies

In one of his books, Art Linkletter mentioned Frankenheimer. It seems that one day some of the kids going to the House Party set got lost and wandered onto Frankenheimer’s set. The director was just getting his career started. He bellowed angrily at the kids to leave.
Linkletter knew about this, but he didn’t comment until the kids’ segment started. One of the kids said “I don’t like that Frankenstein!”
Linkletter knew who the kids were talking about, and he was angry about the director’s conduct, and he gave the director a blistering criticism on the air. When Frankenheimer heard about it, he whined to the network executives to have that segment edited out of Linkletter’s west-coast feed. The execs said no.
After that the director put up a big sign on the door to his set, “NO ADMITTANCE–CLOSED SET–THIS MEANS YOU.”
Linkletter replied with a sign on his door reading, “EVERYONE WELCOME BUT FRANKENHEIMER. STAY OUT–YOU.”
