I don’t quite get the question, but I can say that in the comic books Scrooge is never naked when swimming in his money bin. Why should he be? Few people swim naked in water, either.

Not naked, but close to it, I think – doesn’t Scrooge, like Donald, go bottomless?

I am reminded of an old cartoon – from MAD magazine, I think – in which Donald duck rants to Daisy about how great figures from science and history had been ridiculed as he has been ridiculed: “Why am I not compared to these men of vision?” “For one thing, none of them was a talking duck walking around bare-assed in a sailor suit.”
