Damn Geocities…the link isn’t working, and I don’t have time to fix it now, either.
Sorry for the tease. It says that it’ll be back up within the hour, but I make no promises. I’ll fix it after Robin gets back from the hospital, I swear. Unless it works by then.
We’re finally home from the hospital, and none the worse for wear. Right now, his grampa’s got him so I can get some stuff arranged so we can move him into my room.
MsRobyn…geocities is notorious for only allowing a small number of people to view linked pictures per day before they shut the site down temporarily. You might consider uploading pictures of Aaron to the SDMB MSN Community located here.
Just a helpful suggestion.
Oh, and welcome to the little one. It’s about time.
Again, felicitations to all of you. And, as I have said in the two other BabyDoors threads, Cecilreallly ought to get his butt in here and welcome this here brand new doper baby.
In his columns, Cecil has alluded to some interesting adventures over the years, so my guess is that he is a little gun-shy that talking about babies might lead to speculation about any extra “little Cecils” which may have appeared over the years. In other words, he’s concerned that if he posts his congratulations, then boom – next thing you know he’s shifting uncomfortably under the TV lights on of those “Whose The Father?” daytime talk show episodes.
Congratulations Airman Doors and Ms. Robyn. May you have much happiness from your new son.
As to the matter of getting Cecil to respond, you guys are going about it all wrong. Learn from the Bible, um… I mean comic books. Whenever someone wanted to get a hold of Spider Man, what did they do? They looked up Peter Parker at the Bugle, because people knew that he took all those pix of Spidey and figured that they knew each other. Similarly, when someone wanted to get a hold of Superman, all they had to do was drop by Lois Lane’s office.
Therefore, I suggest sending an email to our resident link to Cecil, namely Ed Zotti, and see if he can coax Cecil into welcoming the kid.
Congrats on the kid. Can’t have too many Dopers. Personally I’m holding off on reproduction until they come up with something involving shrink wrap, but the old technology definitely has its points.
