Help! We’re in the process of replacing a stainless steel under-counter kitchen sink. We’re ready to install the new sink, and want to use a strong silicone adhesive to help hold it up and to seal it. There are brackets holding the sink in position, but a strong adhesive would ensure it stays where it is. Is there any particular type or brand of silicone adhesive we should use or avoid using for some reason?
I just read here that 100% silicone sealant is best. Does that make sense?
Yes.
Your basic, clear 100% silicone RTV is what you want.
Thanks, beowulff. That’s what I figured.
