While in a scance 8 months this will be a moot point, I am curious. As my brother pointed out, this sounds like some bad college rumor. But is it true? If you are under 21, it’s still legal for you to brew it and then drink your own alcoholic drink? What I was told is that it’s legal but you also cannot share it with anyone.

I am a homebrewer and based on my limited knowledge of the subject, you would be allowed to make your own wine or beer but not drink it legally till you were 21.
So start a batch of Mead and serve it for your 21st b-day party.
It must depend on what state/country you’re in.
I’ve been arrested for merely being a minor in possession of alcohol, in Illinois (15 years ago). I think all states have similar laws.
