I’ve been told that cinemas sometimes use a very low frequency (inaudible) rumbling sound to get people to move out of the theatres/cinema complex after a movie. Apparently it makes people feel uneasy (even though they don’t know why) and they are quicker to move out. Is this really what happens?
slightly off topic, but the movie **Irreversible ** used a low frequency noise during the beginning of the movie to give the viewer an uneasy feeling, which given the subject matter, was a bit redundant…
