I’m replacing my Nvidia GTX-1650 with an Intel Arc B-580, the 1650 is getting a little long in the tooth and locking me out of some more recent games. chatGPT recommends I use WagnardSoft DDU to delete all the 1650 display drivers, registry entries etc. when swapping the cards. It’s claiming that’s especially important when changing vendors to prevent any leftover code interfering with the new drivers. Thoughts on that? Has anyone used DDU? I’m reluctant to use a 3rd party utility if it’s not necessary.
That’s why I downloaded and installed Revo Uninstaller. It allows you to remove all of it from your registry. That’s what I would do in similar circumstances.
Yes, DDU is the standard recommendation for when switching video card manufacturers. (Usually from Nvidia to AMD or vice versa, but same deal switching to Intel.)
