As a follow up to my last thread about video card issues, it was suggested by the PTB that I should uninstall my video drivers, then re-install the new ones. After googling for info and having look a complete mess, is there any quick and / or easy way to simply uninstall the Nvidia drivers?
You don’t say what OS or version drivers you are using but I did find this for Xp.
Yeah, I found that, too.
I’m running '98 SE, though.
Windows 98 is still a bad dog, ever notice some things dont’ actually uninstall exactly?, you installed it but alas, you have no uninstall file anywheres?
Have you tried posting on computer related forums? Here is one that I thought was pretty cool at one time. http://computing.net/ Its not great, but neither is win98. I find its best or even easiest to just backup all my stuff and reinstall the OS and start over after loading bogus drivers that are interfering or causing some kind of problem. Contacting the manufacturer tech support via email is another option, say hey I’ve got this problem, its likely they’ve seen it before and know a fix. Not many manufacturers are supporting win98 so well these days either.
I had problems with a game and many people suggested rolling back my drivers (nVidia).
They suggested Driver Cleaner and it worked great for me. Read the directions on the site - you uninstall the drivers using the normal uninstall procedure, and THEN you use Driver Cleaner to gather up all the crap left behind.
It works for ATI and nVidia drivers.
