…not that the expecting ladies would not ocassionally just feel like killing someone, even with things as they normally are.

Recalling how Pepper Mill felt while pregnant with MilliCal, I’d be afraid if this bill made it through. Pregnancy is not for the faint hearted.

Can you explain who Pepper Mill is please. I googled but only got photos of, y’know, pepper mills.

Is it a cartoon? Movie? Children’s story? I have no idea! But some context would be much appreciated, for those NOT hip enough to catch your reference.

Sorry. Dopers who have been here a while will know that Pepper Mill is my wife*

*She’s not a Doper, so that’s not her Doper name. It’s her hooker/stripper name, which you generate by using your pet’s name followed by your street name. The combination works out really well for her, so I’ve used it when referring to her on these Boards instead of calling her “CalWife” or some such. Our daughter I call by a combination of our names, MilliCal.

It happened a few years ago in New York. The legislature passed a gun control law and it as only after it was enacted that people noticed it would prohibit on-duty police officers from carrying guns. It had to be quickly amended with some “what we meant to say” legislation.

I have always acted around pregnant women as if they had the right to kill me. It’s just the prudent thing to do.

Well, elbows has been here longer than you and didn’t know. So maybe an explanation once in a while could help facilitate communication. Especially with newer members since we still get those all the time.
