I was thinking about names the other day and it occurred to me that some of favorites are not gender-specific. Also, I think that names usually associated with one sex are way cooler on the opposite sex. I thought of a few. Any others?

Oh sure, maybe the parents think the idea of a unisex name, one usually associated with the oposite sex, will be cute…but my friend Courtney hates his parents.
Do Owen and Vivian really qualify? I’ve never heard of a man named Vivian or a woman named Owen . . . Not sure about Xavier, either.
And I hate to do this, but a lot of those “unisex” names are nicknames interchangeable between male and female variants. Eddie is short for Edward and Edwina, but both are pretty strongly “sexed” names.
