OK, who watched? Anyone?
I thought it was a fair start to the new season. I’m wondering who deposited the bodies in the water, the CIA? And with some of the Unit members apparently going over, will the whole crew ever be back together?

Me. It took me a few seconds to recognize “the President” at the beginning. At the end of the modified opening titles, when they did the cliche walking forward side by side shot, I noted that the guys were all (?) in civilian clothes. So my speculation is that they’re destined to become “private contractors” even after the current mess is resolved. Methinks even if they can prove the conspiracy against them, they’ve chalked up too big a body count of CIA/whatever guys to return to their old jobs.
Rather interesting that this show veered almost without warning into “X-Files” territory (minus the mutants and aliens)…not sure how it’ll hold up…
An interesting point that I hadn’t considered. I’m very glad the show is back.
I’m on the fence as to whether or not Williams is actually going over to the Feds, or if it’s part of some plan to clear The Unit of wrongdoing. On the one hand, Jonas Blane ALWAYS has a plan B. On the other, during the episode in Season 1 where the men went through SERE training, Williams was singled out as likely to crack under pressure because of his hero worship thing for Blane (IIRC). So it’ll be interesting to see what happens.
And I thought I was the only one who watched this show!
I think they will be convicted of a crime they didn’t commit and find refuge in the LA Underground. Then they’ll go around helping people in a 70s passenger van, with Jonas smoking cigars and saying periodically, “I love it when a plan comes together.”
No one would ever make a show based on that! At least not a good show. You’d have to add a big black guy that wears enough gold that he couldn’t swim if he had to.
I liked it, but I hope that the mechanism by which the Unit coalesces again will not have that deus ex machina smell.
There is always the Donald Hamilton ending where some Agency folks had nasty accidents.
I can see the Agency folks dying nasty, horrible yet unconnectable deaths. But how does the team reunite. I would suspect that there will be trust issues in the future
Unless of course Jonas convinces them he had it all planned out in advance. :smack:
What’s with when Tiffy went back to the prison and they said he had never been there and neither had she? I’ve not been in the service, but it seems unlikely they could get folks to play along, maybe so. Did anyone notice if it was the same folks on duty or perhaps a new set that could be given doctored records and wouldn’t know the truth?
I thought the records don’t show him here or you visiting was odd just after williams turned. Williams didn’t start making waves to Molly until after she passed Mac’s message to him. Connected? Mac’s message equal to code for lets do this mother?
Williams is now in Air Force custody and Mac’s in a van with a bag over his head. Is that part of the Military Justice system? OK, maybe at Gitmo. :dubious:
Maybe River will swoop in and rescue Mack
[QUOTE=Skipper TooConnected? Mac’s message equal to code for lets do this mother?[/QUOTE]
Might explain why Hector looked uncomfortable rather than shocked when Mack was hooded up and hauled off.
Took me a second. I was going to post, “well, he does have a thing for willowy young…”
Oh my. You think it was other guys from the Unit who took him away?
No, I don’t, that would be corny. I do think that there is something to the idea that there was a coded message from Mack. Why else would Hector give up Molly like that? The treatment they experienced in the prison camp test was worse than some audio with a baby crying.
Something is up, and if there isn’t these guys could never work together again.
Yes, I agree.
Anyone catch the second part of the season Opener?
All I can say is, Mac is a man that has my respect, Don’t ever write checks to the Unit that your ass can’t cash cause they will shove you in the small deposit slot at the bank after they endorse your backside with their 9mm. The Col. only will be used by a skirt once, then he uses the Skirt.
Bob’s Handler/Recruiter Kern (Ricky Jay) really dead or is he going to turn up later?
Is the Unit really back to Buisness as usal? With their cover blown I guess they will have to move to a different base.
I liked the second installment this season, plenty of action, and the plot was advanced.
I only get late on Wednesdays… sniff
I saw it last night and it was good. Hector played his part well it seems.
When will people learn to look behind them when ambushing the Unit? I guess never, cause they end up dead first.
But is it over for Mac and Tiffy? She stood there and watched Mac walk away rather than greeting her as the others did to their SOs.
