So at the end of season one, the team and their families were attacked at some social event. When Season two started, did they ever explain what happened or any of that jazz? Did they just forget about the entire incident? I’m pretty sure I haven’t missed any eps so I absolutely can’t figure out why a seemingly significant plot would just vanish into thin air…what am I missing?
There was at least one episode that used the action there as a “previously on The Unit” prelude to some other developments. I think I’ve seen all the episodes thus far, too, and can’t remember any more specific resolution.
My guess is that Mamet and Ryan may have a file they’re keeping on things they can reopen if needed. The Sopranos seems to follow a similar pattern and you just never know when one of those dangling plot threads will reappear and what will come of it.
In my view, the blending of the guys in the field and the gals at home makes for some fun situations and I enjoy the show for that reason.
The Colonol’s wife (Robert Patrick) was wounded in the attack and this has been referenced a few times during the current season. It was a contributing factor in Tiffy’s “taking a legal bullet” for Mrs. Ryan when she took the blame for the hit and run accident.
But mostly I think all the Serbian (I believe that’s what they were anyhow) bad guys were killed in the ambush and so there isn’t a “Russian in the Woods” scenario as in the Sopranos.
which brings up a point. has mrs. colonel kicked the drug habit or has that not been addressed yet? i’ve had scheduling conflicts and haven’t been able to see all of this season.
