Well the thing about hate speech is that it’s pretty subjective. People could make an argument that burning the national flag is hateful.
It sure mattered to conservatives when Obama wouldn’t say radical Islamic terrorism.

There was a Supreme Court ruling on whether flag burning is protected speech.
People could make an argument that flying the flag of a country that we fought in the biggest war in the history of the world to defeat is hateful.
