Unite the Right Racist Scum

Jesus that’s disturbing.

Are some of you guys just blowing off steam, or do you really want blood in the streets? Because if we don’t stop escalating the rhetoric, it’s going to get worse.

The last line in the Bible should have been “Jesus, That’s disturbing”.

Legit. Revelations is some freaky shit.

I don’t condone violence but this has already gone way past where it should have gone and right wing politicians have been hinting at this kind of violence for a long time. This is not a time for “both sides do it”. No more false equivalency bullshit. That ends right fucking now.

Imagine you’re a family member of one of the loved ones. Your husband, father, son, brother died for…defending the “rights” of white shit to express their butt hurt. That’s the fucking tragedy here.

These Nazi LARPers will support tearing down the statues once someone points out the Confederacy were Democrats. Oh wait, that trick doesn’t work in reverse.

It’s funny how white supremacists are scared of becoming a minority. It’s like they know minorities are treated poorly or something. It’s also funny how whites are the master race, but they’re dying out because they won’t have kids. They’re basically pandas.

If you’re frustrated with people who say that punching a Nazi is as bad as being a Nazi then you can graduate to full blown white genocide by breeding a bunch of swirled kids.

And so you agree to start therapy?

There are people in this thread advocating that human beings be shot down like dogs. So I don’t really see how it’s a false equivalency to call out violent rhetoric. I’d call that ‘‘not being a hypocrite.’’ I don’t get to say I’m against violent rhetoric and then give some violent rhetoric a pass.

As far as the basic ideological position of the alt-right, there is absolutely a false equivalency being drawn by Trump and his cowardly ilk. There’s no conceivable ethical response to this other than immediate and swift condemnation of motherfucking Nazis and loud and vocal support of the peacefully assembled counter-protesters.

I see those as two separate issues.

To Review:

  1. Nazis are bad.
  2. Protesting Nazis is good.
  3. Violence is bad.

Unless you have something important to say, fuck off.

¡No Pasarán!

Geez. Sami Zayn, Syrian-Canadian Muslim wrestler for WWE, posts a No Nazis sign (swastika with no sign) and immediately some jackass blames the American Left for the rise of right wing nazis. :smack:

Then someone else tries to blame ‘ultra-racist’ Barack Obama.

I hope he deletes those comments.

My take:

If you’re an American and you love this country, your country, then you won’t ever behave like this. America was founded on immigration, also the spread of disease, but that’s another story for another time.

No real American, no true Patriot, no passionate citizen of this country should ever be marching or protesting on a street, performing Roman salutes in the way of the Third Reich, and should not be waving a Nazi Germany flag or wear shirts with Adolf Hitler quotes. To me, at that point, you are not an American, and do not deserve to be a citizen of this country.

All you are is scum.

You can fuck off.

Exactly. Fuck the koom-by-ya hand holding shit.

There are literally people marching in the US and calling for removal of human rights for non-whites and these people are supporters of the President of the United States. There are people on this board trying to pretend that running people over with a car isn’t a big deal or we should wait and see. There are unironic “Heil Trump” shouts at these protests but let’s keep waiting and seeing.

I hope you didn’t forget arresting and charging with terrorism any of the white supremacists who started any fighting. They can march all they want but their toxic world view needs to be shouted down at all times and they should be bearing full culpability of their actions.

I’m not the earlier posters in this thread but today is a day to vent. Tomorrow is soon enough to take a deep breath and calm down. Calling for people to have Vulcan levels of calm today without knowing their circumstances isn’t realistic. For many of us, this isn’t theoretical and we are the ones who are being directly targeted by this display. I’ve been dancing between anger, shock, grief and fear all day. I am furious that my children will be dealing with this; although the younger one can pass. Not sure about the older one.
Can you imagine the difference in how black people dressed in camo and bearing semi-automatic weapons would have been treated?

Keyboard warriors. Siam Siam is safely in his room, typing on his computer, indulging his fantasies.

Hard to equate thiswith peaceful assembly?

Both sides do it is pretty lame. I especially don’t like equating the “antifa” with left. “antifa” are anarchists that are disavowed by the mainstream left. I know that in places like Sacramento, the “antifa” were definitely there to fight. Doesn’t seem much difference with these Klan wannabes. But let’s not have the false equivalency. If the President of the US and at least nominal leader of the Republican Party can’t denounce the alt-right/Klan/white supremists for incitement and what looks to be a domestic terrorist attack…

Like Bricker wrote earlier, the first amendment means we have to put up with often distasteful or even abhorrent views. But these were folks that were prepared for and appeared to be inciting violence.

My father and uncles fought against Nazis in World War 2. They saw the camps and smelled the rotting bodies. Some of my neighbors back in NY wore the number tattoos of the death camps.

So I have NO illusions about what these scum stand for and what the want.

Can you list condemnations of “antifa” by the Democratic Party leaders please?

Oh and as for “both sides” thing. This is from the WaPo article cited somewhere at the beginning of this thread:

“On Saturday morning, men in combat gear — some wearing bicycle and motorcycle helmets and carrying clubs and sticks and makeshift shields — had fought each other in the downtown streets, with little apparent police interference. **Both sides sprayed each other with chemical irritants **and plastic bottles were hurled through the air.”

Hmmm. Is WaPo a “both sides” apologist as well?

(Oh, and yes, I hate the Nazis. I mostly pity the “antifa” morons. But using this violence (and yes, violence had two sides) to condemn the Right is the same as using the “antifa” violence to condemn the Left. I don’t see many left-wing posters here doing that. Why is that?)

The two dies feed on each other.

The violent extremists like the Neo-Nazis and the KKK have always been out there. But they had to stay mostly in hiding. Now they have a supportive environment that lets them walk around in the open.

Right wing politicians aren’t out there rioting on the streets. But they’re making the riots possible.

The protest was called “Unite the Right”. This is when the right has to make a decision. Do you want the Neo-Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan to be part of the right or not? They’re claiming membership. Are you giving it to them? Or are you going to reject them and turn them away?
