Here’s a shocker – a family member of one Nazi at the C’ville tragedy comments on the radicalization of this guy.
In short, a fascination with Ron Paul started this guy down the path to hate. I just can’t believe it. It’s almost like we can safely assume that 95% of Ron Paul supporters are semi-criminal or entirely criminal. Or, it’s like the alt-right thing to do is to play unsuspecting whites like pianos.

Indeed. What is it about some folks that allows radical propaganda to literally reprogram their brains whereas most of us will recognize it for the bullshit that it is?
Who in their right mind would want a Nazi or a Nazi sympathizer like octo defending their rights? The groups that think no one HAS any rights? That entire groups of people need to be exterminated? Nazis don’t believe in rights or law, they want to destroy that. They only believe in and only understand brute force.
And yet, they aren’t too proud to HIDE behind the laws they want to destroy.

It’s almost as though there is a significant number of Trump supporters who can be segmented from the rest (say, into a “bucket” or “basket”) who are not very nice people (say, “deplorable”).
I don’t think he’s a Nazi or a Nazi sympathizer. I think he has latched onto a philosophical talking point without thinking it through, which leads him to make facile statements about difficult real-world issues.
At a guess, he deeply admires Rand Paul, who is of a similar ilk.
He’s either a sympathizer, or a troll. Pick one.

You have it right in the first part; there simply isn’t enough of them and most Americans, whatever their party alignment, are repulsed at the terms “Nazi” or “KKK” (and it was smart to focus on them, Nazis are very easy to hate. Some of the other terms they use for themselves are less easy to instinctively reject).
But this particular viper of White Supremacy needs to be choked off now, because we’ve seen (see links above) that it can grow.
It was very easy to call them Nazis when so many of them were carrying swastika flags.
What is it when you have 10 guys with swastika flags, and 90 other guys marching with them?

If there were any “good people” in that crown of fucking Nazis in Charlottesville, they would have left the moment they saw the first swastika symbol. “Jesus Christ” they would have said. “I am on the wrong fucking side here. I’m marching with literal fucking Nazis”. And they would have left. There was not a single “good person” in that crowd.
Absolutely this. It is a tautology understood since WWII: If you march with Nazis, you’re a Nazi, because non-Nazis do not march with Nazis.
